OSVALDO CAGNASSO ( Alba , 22 Agosto 1901– Alba , 30 Gennaio 1987) Nasce ad Alba il 22 agosto 1901. Partecipò attivamente alla Resistenza. Dal 1956 al 1963 è Sindaco di Alba . Acquistò un'area di circa 40.000 metri quadrati che regalò alla città. Il 26 Luglio 1962 Alba fu la prima città in Italia ed Europa messa in collegamento telefonico via satellite per la prima volta nella storia con gli Stati Uniti. Osvaldo Cagnasso parlò con il Sindaco della città gemella di Medford (Oregon) John Snider. Osvaldo Cagnasso non parlava inglese. Probabilmente John Snider non parlava italiano. Morì ad Alba nel 1987.
