ROBERTO PONZIO (Neive, 09.09.1923 - Alba, 10.02.2008)
Giunto ad Alba da Neive, nel 1949 rileva un esercizio commerciale di Via Maestra in Alba. Negli anni Cinquanta intuì di specializzarsi nel commercio del Tartufo d’Alba. Nel 1962 si aggiudicò alla mostra concorso della Fiera del Tartufo di Alba il primo premio con medaglia d’oro. Nel 1963 venne insignito del titolo di “Re dei Tartufi d’Alba”. Più volte trionfò alla Fiera di Moncalvo. Valorizzò il tartufo bianco d’Alba inviando, dal 1958 al 1968, stupendi esemplari ad illustri personaggi italiani ed esteri: Jacqueline Kennedy, Elisabetta Il, Charles De Gaulle, Richard Nixon, Mina, Gronchi, Antonio Segni. Celebre il suo motto «no alberi, no tartufo». A Ponzio in anni recenti sono state dedicate tartufaie sperimentali nell’Astigiano, nelle Langhe e nel Roero. Muore ad Alba nel 2008. La famiglia gli ha dedicato un museo dedicato alla sua memoria.

En 1962, il remporte le premier prix avec une médaille d'or au concours d'exposition de la Foire de la Truffe d'Alba. En 1963, il reçut le titre de « Roi des Truffes d'Alba ». Elle a triomphé à plusieurs reprises à la Foire de Moncalvo. Il promeut la truffe blanche d'Alba en envoyant, de 1958 à 1968, de merveilleux spécimens à d'illustres personnalités italiennes et étrangères : Jacqueline Kennedy, Elizabeth II, Charles De Gaulle, Richard Nixon, Mina, Gronchi, Antonio Segni. Sa devise « pas d'arbres, pas de truffes » est célèbre. Ces dernières années, des fermes truffières expérimentales ont été dédiées au Ponzio dans la région d'Asti, des Langhe et du Roero. Il est décédé à Alba en 2008. La famille a consacré un musée dédié à sa mémoire.

Es triumphierte mehrmals auf der Moncalvo-Messe. Er förderte den weißen Trüffel von Alba, indem er von 1958 bis 1968 wundervolle Exemplare an berühmte italienische und ausländische Persönlichkeiten schickte: Jacqueline Kennedy, Elisabeth II., Charles De Gaulle, Richard Nixon, Mina, Gronchi, Antonio Segni. Sein Motto „Keine Bäume, keine Trüffel“ ist berühmt. In den letzten Jahren wurden Ponzio experimentelle Trüffelfarmen in der Region Asti, Langhe und Roero gewidmet. Er starb 2008 in Alba. Die Familie richtete ein Museum ein, das seinem Andenken gewidmet war.
