Nacque a Guarene il 20 Aprile 1869.  A dodici anni di età, abbandonò la propria casa. Viaggia e impara il mestiere di macellaio. Si trasferisce a Londra dove sposa Lily da cui avrà due figli. Alle ore 12:06 del giorno 10 Aprile 1912 a Southampton sul transatlantico Titanic per svolgere la propria professione. Poco tempo prima era tornato a Guarene per fare visita al fratello. Le testimonianze processuali lo indicano come l’uomo appeso al parapetto di poppa nelle ultime fasi dell’affondamento, ripreso anche nel film Titanic del 1997 di James Cameron. Ma non è mai stato verificato che fosse davvero lui. Il suo nome non compare in nessun elenco di dispersi, deceduti o sopravvissuti.

He was born in Guarene on April 20, 1869. At twelve years of age, he abandoned his home. Travel and learn the trade of a butcher. He moved to London where he married Lily with whom he had two children. At 12.06pm on 10 April 1912 in Southampton on the ocean liner Titanic to carry out his profession. Shortly before, he had returned to Guarene to visit his brother. Trial testimony indicates him as the man hanging from the stern railing in the final stages of the sinking, also featured in James Cameron's 1997 film Titanic. But it was never verified that it was really him. His name does not appear in any list of missing, deceased or survivors.

A 12h06 le 10 avril 1912 à Southampton sur le paquebot Titanic pour exercer sa profession. Peu de temps auparavant, il était retourné à Guarene pour rendre visite à son frère. Les témoignages au procès l'indiquent comme l'homme pendu à la balustrade arrière lors des dernières étapes du naufrage, également présenté dans le film Titanic de James Cameron en 1997. Mais il n’a jamais été vérifié qu’il s’agissait bien de lui. Son nom n'apparaît sur aucune liste de disparus, de défunts ou de survivants.

El testimonio del juicio lo indica como el hombre que colgaba de la barandilla de popa en las etapas finales del hundimiento, también presentado en la película Titanic de James Cameron de 1997. Pero nunca se comprobó que realmente fuera él. Su nombre no aparece en ninguna lista de desaparecidos, fallecidos o supervivientes.
