Nacque a Parma nel 1881. Per il suo aspetto veniva chiamato “Gorilò (Gorilla)”. Fece molti lavori: inserviente di un circo, parcheggiatore abusivo, commerciante di segatura che trasportava su un carretto a pedali condotto dal cane “Leone” che quando morì fece impagliare e continuò a portare con se terrorizzando i bambini. Portava l’orologio sopra il polsino come l’ Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli. Era in grado di far ruotare un sigaro acceso all'interno della bocca e di discendere dalla bicicletta, fare una capriola e risalirci mentre la bicicletta era ancora in corsa. A cinquant’anni si innamorò di una domatrice di leoni che portò con se a Parma, dove viveva in un garage al quale avrebbe voluto aggiungere una porta per avere maggiore intimità. Di fronte al rifiuto del proprietario del garage, volarono parole grosse e schiaffi. La questione finì in Pretura. Assolto, fece una bella capriola in Aula. Si impadronì del carretto di un gelataio, regalando gelato gratis ai bambini. Al termine degli incontri calcistici del Parma, si metteva il sigaro in bocca e chiedeva 50 lire in cambio di tre pugni nella pancia. Tra le sue avventure più note il viaggio a piedi compiuto nel 1928 per condurre un gregge di 250 pecore da Santo Stefano Magra ad Aquileia e la gara di mangiatori di spaghetti al pomodoro senza l'uso delle mani.

He wore a watch on his cuff like the lawyer Giovanni Agnelli. He was able to roll a lit cigar inside his mouth and get off the bicycle, do a somersault, and get back on while the bicycle was still moving.
